A PLACE OF HER OWN™ (PLACE) is an art-based healing organization dedicated to sparking and sustaining the well-being and activism for women. Through PLACE, we aim to grow self-confidence, compassion and leadership amongst women of color, in particular, to affect long lasting systemic change on a personal, family and community level.
We ask women to speak their truth, step into their power and release self-judgment, guilt and shame rooted in ancestral trauma and colonization. Women claim their right to be as they are and not who they are told they should be
